img466.imageshack.us/img466/...bqv7.jpg
Undecided / Santa Fe - ReMex Vol 01
Record Label: SANGO MUSIC
Release Date: Feb/25/2007
Catalog Number: SM-002
Distributed by: Load Media UK
Preview: www.junodownload.com/labels/Sango

01. Undecided - Heavy Cargo (Neztic remix)
02. Santa Fe - Tunel (Neztic remix)

01.Undecided - Heavy Cargo (Digital Release)
02. Santa Fe - Iguana's Theme (Digital Release)

Undecided, a.k.a. Chris Shelton, was captivated by the scene in early 1998 and since then has been cultivating his own style of funky, hard-hitting breaks referred to as that nu-funk sound. In September 2005 Undecided and production partner Kiro had their debut release “Obsessive Nature” signed by the popular UK record Label MOB, receiving support by all the breakbeat big names.

This is Undecided’s debut release for Sango Music, a powerful and aggressive piece of breakbeat filled with athmospherics, deep bass tones and interesting synth works that will keep the floor moving, this is a whole new step for the Sango label and we’re very proud of it.

As a perfect companion for Heavy Cargo, we present a new exclusive production by the Mexican duo Santa Fe, “Iguana’s Theme” is all about old school beats, warm melodies and strong basslines. An interesting track to let us hear some of the exciting sounds of Santa Fe.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What's been said so far:

Ben & Lex (Ape Music / Functional)
I'm fuckin lovin the sango 002, exactly what we like, nice funky/dark Dancefloor bizness but with musicality and brainstop, fuckin dollar.

Plaza de Funk (West / Mantra Breaks)
Heavy Cargo is fantastic, it's good to see that some producers dare to do something different! Neztic and the label have very quickly established a very personal sound, I'm sure both are set for great things. Big release!

Karton (Sound Of Habib / S.N.S.)
As always Neztics production on both is top shelf. Heavy Cargo is a perfect mid-set roller where as Tunel is one for the late night crew. Both are big tunes and Sango is looking to have a big year if they keep dropping heat like this.

Kickflip (Fat! / Beat Industries)
New release is sounding cool, good work once again! The Tunel remix is my favourite, but only just, they're both wicked tunes, and a good follow up to the first release!

Jonny Strinati (Splank Records / Groove Allegiance)
Really diggin your new release, as I was the last one with the Groove Diggerz remix. Both tracks here are really driving, with brilliant drum programming ... Not so keen on the lead guitar sounds, but other than that two strong tracks that'll surely work a sweat up on many floors.

Dj support by Rennie Pilgrem, Ben n Lex, Karton, Andrea Lai and more.

Addictech Download Service Launches! - 3 new SOTEG tunes!!

Addictech Download Service Launches! - 3 new SOTEG tunes!!

The time has come, the revolution has begun!

Addictech officially launches our download service today, and what a birthday it is!

Today we bring you 3 new *exclusive* tracks from one of our "Top 5" artists, Son of the Electric Ghost!

That’s right, the moment you've been waiting for, in all of its digital glory, and ready for download!

We'll waste no time trying to describe or hype these tunes, check them out for yourself here:

http://www.addictech.com/store/

The 3 new tracks are titled "Victims of Parents", "Form of Worth", and "Lightnectar" - 2 breakbeat bangers and one squishy bottom end midtempo affair

We've also uploaded all of the back stock that we were able to get from that reclusive Texan, there are a few more tracks we need to get from him, and we'll get those up as soon as possible!

http://www.addictech.com/store/index.php?cPath=35&page=1&sort=7d

Bil has also given us a number of other tunes that he's created that will be released on Sept 16th, a collection of his recent work that is most impressive... look out for this "Directory Dump" release then, you will not be disappointed.

For now... you can blast those 3 new ones, and anything that you might have missed out on when the vinyl was available.

Upcoming we've got the Muti Music full catalog, and a few surprises that homeboy Dov has given us for digital release!

We love our blackcrackwax here at Addictech, and we'll keep it coming, but to be able to offer these tunes in another format brings us great joy. :)

We hope you feel the same way!

Peace
Electrofly Records - Wavewhore "Breakin' The Law"

WAVEWHORE - "Breakin' The Law"
ELECTROFLY RECORDS - ELECTRO018
A. Original Mix
AA. 40,000 Watts Remix
Distribution: InterGroove UK Ltd. www.intergroove.co.uk
Release Date: May 2, 2005

Erik Stein, aka Wavewhore, has experimented with audio waveforms and styles of electronic music since the early nineties. His early years were spent playing metal guitar in a host of bar bands which toured the New York City area. In 1991, Well Primed records released 'The Thorazine Stretch Factor', a compilation which featured his first dive into the realm of electronic dance music titled ‘Voodoo’. In 2001, Wavewhore founded Audio Tactics, an audio production house dedicated to styles of electronic music such as breakbeat and contemporary dub. The following year, Wavewhore’s ‘Bulletproof’, a drum and bass track, was featured in a film by Julie Covello titled ‘Prohibited Beatz’ documenting the New York drum and bass scene. As a DJ, Wavewhore can be found delivering high energy breakbeat or chilled out dub sets at various venues in his home base of New York City and he currently maintains a residency called ‘Unbreakable’ at the award winning Sullivan Room in Manhattan. His DJ skills have been featured on numerous radio shows such as BreaksFM and upcoming shows include 92.3 K-Rock FM, Proton Radio and an artist feature on www.BijouBreaks.com.

‘Breakin The Law’ is his first single for Electrofly and takes the label down a more funky dance floor friendly route… jump up beats & bass stylleee!
Support from Elite Force, Jay Cunning, The Autobots, Chris Fortier, Jonathan Lisle, Bill Vega & Soto…

“A mighty tune!” Elite Force on the 40,000 Watts Remix

"I'll try and play it on the radio (my kiss100 show) this week" Tayo

"That demo is wicked... All the bulbs that I ever needed to put out - you did it for me. I owe you one… Yeah, Breakin’ The Law is really good shit mate!" Jez of The Autobots

"Loving it every time I play it!" Bill Vega

“A new release from Electrofly is always welcome; a label who seem to have found themselves in that kind of progressive bracket; the kind of breaks that I imagine Sasha or Digweed might play, but definitely not Mechanoise. They have put out some really interesting releases and occasionally some that have been, how shall we put this, a little ‘light’. Anyway, this is not one of those and is actually one of their most playable, dancefloor friendly releases to date. It’s strangely reminiscent of really good, solid house music from the mid 90’s and brings a warm feeling with it. It’s pretty simple really; a tight little groove which keeps repeating, warm synthy sounds are added to the mix following variations of the same pattern and it just keeps building and subtly changing. The 40,000 watts mix is the one that’s aimed more firmly at the floor. It’s a bit more stripped down but with extra kick and attitude in the bass and drums. Simple but really effective tracks that are instantly accessible. Solid.” Soto (M8 Magazine review)

We - a few breakbeat freaks who love bass and beats - have opened up our virtual doors to the public. Previous to this we were underground and selling straight to DJs - because it takes time to develop a custom online store!

Now that we're up with a secure connection and can accept credit card and paypal, we can sell the 'black crack' to anyone! Woot! Woot!

Check it out - 'cause we've got only the best in breakbeat vinyl and CDs, a clean UI and we take of our customers - we get your orders out FAST and well packed. Just like a good dealer should. Are you addictech?

All the best,
Neuronaut

P.S. The new sound system is going to blow up in 2005!

Hi all:

Does anyone here know about or could point me in the direction of info about building custom speaker cabnets??? I'm an experienced radio/electrical engineer, so I figure I'v got the basics, all I need is some specifics on things like size & porportion, and power ratings things like that... Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Greets,

I'd like to throw out this invite to the Solarium at Sol System / Burning Man. I am the audio organizer of this installation. We will have a chill dome equipped with an 8.2 multichannel sound system w/ video projection and synchronized lighting. I wrote the spatialization software and this space will be kick ass.. We are still looking for about 6 DJs for scheduled chill/ambient oriented slots, but are very open to live performers and plan on setting up impromptu jams (drum circles + any instruments folks can bring)..

The web site for the Solarium is located here:
http://www.solsystem.org/solarium/

Cya out there..

hey, that's great I found you guys. I went to an addictech breraks party at cellspace a while back. It was pretty good. I can't seem to remember the name of the guy playing music from his laptop, he was also at the valentines street party. Good stuff. I'm new to San Francisco, and about to start some tech courses for audio engineering. I'm also in the middle of a 3 piece band project .I'm totally stoked on making contacts with other people about this.

Embeddable MP3 player in Flash for FREE!

I've spent the last couple of months programming a Flash-based player for MP3s.

Why this kicks ass:
- Normally you can't play MP3s in Flash. SoundBlox converts the files from MP3 to Flash on the server.
- Plays in almost every environment using a technology supported by 90%+ of the browsers
- Using a single XML file you can define all your songs, categories, album art, even pull art from Amazon.com using an ISBN/ASIN number! You can customize the background art, how it starts up and much more!
- It's free!!! It's hosted by Laszlo free of charge as a promotion for their new technology.

You could be playing your MP3s on your site with this thing on you web page right now!

This is an OPEN SOURCE GIFT to the music world!!!! :)

I will have a 6 channel surround system and will demonstrate some of my ambisonic spatialization tech and talk about some technical points of Screams development including an overview of SuperCollider3.

I'll also be giving a lightning talk (with no audio demo) at ConCon which is a little gathering happening on the 16th.. Kind of an overflow of E-tech and pre CodeCon thing.

I hope all is well with the additechs...

I was involved with the Sol System effort out at BM this year. I provided the software for b-format ambisonic panning. Recently I made a little site showing some new features I've developed since then.
http://audio.egregious.net/scream/GeomOsc.html

Check out the SuperCollider tribe as that is the audio real time audio engine that I am using behind my software.

Other than that... I'll also be out at the Moksha Tribe event this Saturday in the SF east bay: http://www.mokshatribe.net/harvest/ Main room full of techno... I'll be mixing powernoise and electro-industrial with hard techno. This event is the release party for my 1st record on my new/1st label; EGR Records. egr.egregious.net

Best...

Virus Powercore

I've heard some rumors about Access releasing a new wave of products.

I was overjoyed to discover what they unveiled for NAMM this year is a plugin for the powerCore! Mainly because I own a powerCore and a virus C. :) If/when they release a Virus D or something, it'll be gear lust all over again.

I've heard that the quality of the TDM plug-in that has been out a while is killer. It is preferred over the hardware version by musicians I respect. (Tipper comes to mind.)

I've never had a chance to try it because I run Nuendo which supports VSTi but not TDM. I'm looking forward to turning my powerCore into a new virus with my presets saved into my songs!

Along with this they also released new OS's for Virus B and rack classic, sounddiver for osX and new patches. http://www.access-music.de/events/01-2004/nammshow2004.php4?product=virusc

HALion users ?

I posted this Q in a few other places so sorry for the redundance.. anybody using Halion out there ? I'm trying to loop some beats and have these two issues (I'm new so this may sound a little corny) :
1) I have to hold down (or tape down) the key on my keyboard to get it to stay looping
2) when I play back after recording it only recorded the first loop (like a few seconds) and then it stops (even though I can hear it for several minutes while its recording)
Kind of weird problems but I can find nothing in the manual that touches on this. Also if anyone knows how to convert .wav files to .fxb please post.. Thanks!!

Muse Receptor - VST in rackmount hardware

I've seen 3 different boxes reach the market recently that are rackmount VST machines. This seems to be the best mainly because they developed a low level system to handle audio before developing the hardware. They also don't have a long list of plug ins that don't work with it so who knows about reliability - they claim any PC vst (.dll) will work.

EJ MIDI Turntable and ScratchTVTM

There seem to be quite a few of these turntable retrofits. This one seems solid to me because the output of the magic 'black box' is MIDI! It's a quick retrofit AND the timing accurate to .01 milliseconds.

The EJ is a retrofit for your existing DJ turntables that allows you to hook you turntables into your computer, then on through to your television.
This invloves the custom patterned EJ Vinyl and an optical cartridge to replace your existing headshell. The light signals are converted to standard MIDI messages, allowing you to interface your turntable with any current musical equipment or software (patent pending).

Our ScratchTVTM program runs on your laptop or desktop, and can map the EJ Turntable's MIDI stream onto the multimedia file of your choosing - including digital video and mp3 files. Have you ever been watching TV and wished you could rewind it or scratch with it? Are you a VJ looking for a way to sync all your cool software? Have you ever been making live electronic music and wished you had a more expressive controller than knobs and a mouse? Have you ever downloaded an mp3 and wished you could mix with it? Have you ever dreamt of plugging your turntable into your computer? Scratching and beatmatching music videos? Now you can.

Resonator Neuronium

JAYEMSONIC: This is the first realisation of a device with Resonant Neuron Synthesis, called the "Resonator Neuronium". The printout of the functions on the unit is written in latin.

The Resonator Neuronium has 6 analog resonant neurons. The net parameters can be programmed by the lefthand structure in form of a hexagon by use of knobs, buttons and LEDs.

We have 6 neurons with 6x6 = 36 net connections for one parameter. In order that summation and FM is connected, we have 2x36 = 72 net connections with individual pots for each node.

The rotary knobs are touch-sensitive and allow the net ranking by a simple touch of the metal coated knobs. The intensities of "wi" or amounts are then displayed and edited by turning the respective knob of the receiving neuron. For better understanding, the routed net connection is displayed as a matrix-LED and displayed in the LCD as Tx (transmitter) -> Rx (receiver) value. If you have a summing net connection, LEDs lit green, with FM connections LEDs lit red.
The loops indicate the self-networking connection of a neuron. As described in the article, one can let the neuron become self oscillating by resonance or let it toggle swing with positive feedback dependent of the sign of the loop value.

What are other tribe members doing?

I have spoken with almost everyone here @ the Addictech tribe and have discovered a wide range of talents and capabilities amongst us.

It would be cool to see tribe members post links to what they do so that everyone can enjoy. In fact, I'm tempted to dig through all my notes and post everyone's links for them, but hopefully it won't come to that.... wink wink ...

So, I'll start with:

http://www.neuronaut.org
This is my solo work and I expect it to go on indefinitely. By documenting myself musically as the years roll by I intend to create a map of my progress. ;-)

http://www.interfaceoblivion.com
Interface Oblivion is more than a band, it's me and my mates living the dream of epic live performances. We have been working for longer than I can remember. We started out in Colorado and all 5 of us are now in the bay area playing live shows.

Both pages are kinda out of date. It's hard to mix down good solid tracks all the time and the live performances gives me more satisfaction. Since there's LOTS of room for improve creativity, the music sounds new and fresh to me and everyone else. Love it!

My solo work is usually secondary to Interface Oblivion – in other words, when I have to choose between an IO concert or my solo work, I choose the band.

I have a lot of other projects too, but the 2 I've mentioned are actually happening and presentable. I'm also really into sharing and building community… if you hadn't noticed already.

In summary, I/we offer:
- Interface Oblivion: A live epic electronica band.
- Neuronaut: My live solo work ranging from ambient down-tempo to beats & breaks
- A pimpin' club sound system with ELF bass (and audio engineers to set-up and run it)
- DJs: hopefully they'll come forth later on in this forum and share their own info..
- Club Science (VJs Qak & Spacout): Provide audio/video engineering & amazing visuals
- Good vibes… artistic sensibility… quality results…

Peace,
-=Grig
